We will continue at Navona Square, corresponding to the Stadium of Domitian, where you can admire the Fountain of Neptune (Giacomo della Porta - 1586), the fountain of the Four Rivers (Bernini - 1651), the Fountain of the Moor (Door / Bernini - 1576/1654) and the imposing Church of St. Agnes in Agony of Borromini.
We will reach the Vatican area where you can visit St. Peter's Square rebuilt and redesigned thanks to Gian Lorenzo Bernini between 1656 and 1667.
The tour of Basilicas will continue with the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, built about sixteen centuries ago. The pilgrims or simply lovers of art will adore this sacred place.
We will move to the MATER ET CAPUT of all the churches of Rome and the world: the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano. The basilica was the seat of the Popes until 1377. Today it is the cathedral of Rome.
The visit of the Churches will continue at San Pietro in Vincoli, dedicated to the first pope of the Church. Fully restored in the late fifteenth century. Inside you can admire the Moses of Michelangelo Buonarroti.
We will find again Michelangelo Bonarroti to the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri. The Pope Pio IV, in fact, asked him to change the FRIGIDARIUM of the Baths of Diocletian and committed him the building of this incredible Basilica.
You will discover 2000 years of history in the Basilica of San Clemente. We will let you in viscera of Rome through the Middle Ages (First Level - 1123), the period Paleocristiano (Second Level - IV century) and ancient Rome (Third Level - II century)
